With its grand opening this week, Cloud Construction completed its first ground-up project for Tennessee-based Dollar General with a new store in Hampton, Georgia.
“I am proud to say the Cloud team has pulled off a very nice and well-built project,” said Mark Sollenberger, the superintendent in charge of the build.
Sullivan Wickley, the client to Cloud Construction based in Atlanta, was the developer on the project.
Dollar General, with its 15,000 stores in 44 states, offers every day low prices on many household items from America’s most trusted brands. With a corporate mission statement of Serving Others, the company began in 1939 promoting a commitment to value and convenience.
The 120-day project was completed just in time for the upcoming holidays.
Nelson Vazquez, a Senior Project Manager for Dollar General, said of the project, “It was nice to [see items that were up to] specs.” Vazquez stated that he was impressed with the work from the Cloud team.
Sollenberger added that his biggest challenges on the project was learning the client’s expectations, procedures, and processes. Highlights for the work included a finished result with a minimal punch list.
Located near the intersection of Highway 81 W and Highway 3 N, this Dollar General is just less than three miles from downtown Hampton, the home of Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Dollar General is located at 3250 Highway 81 West, Hampton, GA 30228, and is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
