NOW OPEN: Christian Brothers Automotive in Meridian, Idaho

Cloud Construction recently staked their claim in the Upper Northwest by wrapping up a ground-up project in one of the fastest-growing cities in America on November 3, 2019, completing the new Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) in Meridian, Idaho. The grand opening was held November 11.

The second in the Boise metropolitan market, this CBA was the first for Cloud in the state of Idaho. After obtaining NASCLA licensure for the state of Idaho, the project began in May under superintendent George Landrum. The new build was completed on the six-month timeline and wrapped up in early November ahead of an anticipated opening.

“My experience with Cloud Construction has been extremely positive and unique as compared to my dealings with other, traditional contractors over the years,” said CBA Director of Construction Derrick Rodgers. “Each member of their team goes above and beyond with communication as well as meeting or exceeding expectations in every facet of the project.”

The unit, located on a parcel of land at the corner of S Meridian Road and E Calderwood Dr just under two miles from downtown Meridian, sits adjacent to available property as well as a Dutch Bros coffee shop. The façade faces the north, allowing the shop to experience consistent light throughout the workday.

Landrum said that his biggest challenges were learning processes in the new state as well as keeping up with the increasing labor needs of the Boise market. Turning over subcontractors is typical in the industry, but occurred more frequently because of the amount of construction in Meridian at the time.

The superintendent said that his biggest success is seeing the project come to a close. “Being able to see it all come together at the end is very rewarding,” he said.

“Cloud consistently delivers at a high level with little to no change orders along the way,” Rodgers commented.
